Jolly Caricatures has been drawing live caricatures at weddings, parties and corporate events for around 20 years. Working with a clipboard rather than an easel, he moves around the room, chats with guests and draws them where they are, so even the people who would never queue up end up with a caricature - and usually a big laugh when it is revealed.
Each drawing is done in black ink on quality white paper, sometimes with a touch of colour, and couples can be drawn together on one page. For weddings and themed nights the paper can be printed with names, dates or a theme, such as Western-style wanted posters.
Alongside live events he works as a professional illustrator, and his experience covers weddings, Christmas and staff parties, retirement and birthday parties, festivals, shopping centre promotions and trade shows. Reviews often mention how friendly and easy-going he is with guests of all ages.
