A gentleman thief who always gives it back
The Artful Pickpocket is an award-winning theatrical pickpocket and close-up magician based in Staffordshire, with more than 25 years of performing at weddings, corporate events and private parties.
He is a highly experienced theatrical pickpocket. While he chats to a guest, their watch quietly leaves their wrist. A tie slides off without being untied. A wallet or a phone turns up in his hand, and nobody saw it go. Everything is handed back with a smile, and the person it belonged to is usually the last to realise.
Alongside the pickpocketing comes close-up magic with cards, coins and borrowed objects, plus a touch of mind-reading. He is relaxed, funny and very good at reading a room, so he fits in as easily at a black-tie dinner as he does in a busy pub.
He has also worked behind the scenes as a magic and pickpocket consultant for television.
