Richard is a member of The Magic Circle with more than twenty years behind him and over a thousand events performed. He does two jobs at once: close-up magician, and host.
The magic is sleight of hand and mind reading, done inches away from people, with a warm and easy sense of humour that works just as well on a table of grandparents as it does on a table of teenagers. Nobody gets dragged up. Nobody gets made to look silly. Guests simply look up, see something they cannot explain, and start talking to each other.
The hosting side is what sets him apart. Richard is a certified member of the Professional Emcee Association, so as well as performing he can take on the announcements, keep the timings on track and steer the room through the day – from welcoming guests to introducing the speeches. Plenty of couples book him for both, which means one person covering the entertainment and the running order.

Where he performs
Richard is based in Staffordshire and performs regularly across the West Midlands, Shropshire, Leicestershire and Somerset, and travels throughout the UK for weddings and corporate bookings. Over twenty years he has worked more than a thousand events – weddings, awards nights, corporate dinners, birthdays and private parties – both as the magician and as the host.
